3DS online payments

Texim Bank AD adds a new free option to make more secure online payments with bank cards through the 3DS Secure scheme. The cardholder will be able to authenticate himself by entering at least two independent elements to authenticate his identity.

The new proposal complies with Directive (EU) 2015/2366 (PSD 2) and Delegated Regulation (EU) 2018/389 to implement Deep authentication of the client’s identity and with care for the security of your payments on the Internet.

To add the new level of security you will initially receive an automatically generated SMS with an initial registration password on your registered mobile phone in Texim Bank AD (Example: TEXIM: NNNNNN e parolata Vi za registraciq na karta ****nnnn za sigurni plashtaniq v Internet. Za registraciq: https://3ds.borica.bg/TEXIM do dd.mm.yyyy hh:mm.).

You will receive a separate SMS with an initial registration password for each card issued by Texim Bank AD.

The initial password is valid for one month from the date of receipt. If you do not complete your registration within this period, you should contact the Bank for instructions on obtaining a new initial password.

You should enter the received initial password for the respective card on the crossed link by following the instructions and creating the static password that only you will know. With this action, you will finish your registration for the service of secure online shopping.

From now on, every time you shop at a merchant site that supports the appropriate level of authentication, you will enter your static password plus a dynamic (one-time) password that will be sent to your registered mobile phone with the Bank.

The one-time password is unique and automatically generated for each purchase. In this way, monitoring and prevention against fraud attempts when shopping on the Internet are strengthened.

Internet merchants that do not support the corresponding level of security (3DS terminals) accept payment by entering a card number and the three digits written on its back (CVV2/CVC code), i.e. as before.

As of March 11, 2021, Texim Bank AD offers its cardholders the possibility to confirm payments with bank cards on the Internet using biometric authentication by fingerprint or facial recognition.

Using biometric authentication is a method for in-depth customer identification for 3D payments on the Internet at merchants with the security level in question, as well as an alternative method of two-factor authentication by static or dynamic passwords.

The new method for authentication of online payments through biometric data is available on the mobile app B-Trust Mobile, which must be installed on your smartphone.

If you have more than one bank card issued by Texim Bank AD, it is enough to successfully register only one of them in the application, and all other cards will be automatically registered for the service. Registration for the B-Trust Mobile app is entirely free and it is not necessary to visit an office of the bank.

Using a B-Token is fast, easy, and comfortable and if you choose this method, there is no need to enter a static or dynamic password when online shopping.
